AAC COMPLETED AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND ORTHOPHOTO MAP PRODUCTION FOR THE ENTIRE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA

As part of a contract with the National Land Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, AAC conducted aerial photography and produced orthophotomaps with a resolution of 25 cm/pixel for the entire territory of Lithuania from 2018 to 2020.

In 2020, the execution of the work started later due to restrictions imposed both in Ukraine and in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease. To perform the aerial photography, AAC obtained all the necessary permits from the Government of Lithuania to carry out the work smoothly during the quarantine conditions in effect in the Republic of Lithuania since March 16. The aerial photography of a part of the territory of the Republic of Lithuania was carried out from May 23 to June 27, 2020.

По матеріалам виконаної аерофотозйомки виготовлені і передані замовнику ортофото в масштабі 1:10000 (909 планшетів) і масштабі 1:5000 (3 374 планшети).

In total, within the framework of the contract, the following was produced and delivered to the National Land Service of Lithuania:

• aerial photography materials covering a total area of 64 920 sq.km.;
• цифрові ортофотокарти в масштабі 1:10 000 – 2 758 планшетів;
• цифрові ортофотокарти в масштабі 1:5 000 – 10 691 планшет.

The orthophotomaps produced in 2020 will soon be published on the Lithuanian Spatial Information Portal - LEI, www.geoportal.lt

The first time, AAC, at the request of the National Land Service of Lithuania in 2012-2013, conducted aerial photography and produced orthophotomaps for the territory of the Republic of Lithuania (65.3 thousand sq.km.) with a resolution of 30 cm/pixel. The produced orthophotomaps are available for viewing on the National Land Service geoportal (www.geoportal.lt.)
