AAC TO CONDUCT AVIATION LIDAR SCANNING FOR POWER LINE DESIGN IN GEORGIA

18.07.2017

For the first time in Georgia, AAC will conduct aviation LiDAR scanning of the terrain for the design of new power transmission lines, upon the request of the State Electric System of Georgia (GSE).

Within the scope of the project, the following tasks will be performed:

  • Aviation LiDAR scanning and aerial photography;
  • Creation of a digital terrain model (DTM);
  • Production of orthophotoplans.

The results of these works will be used for the design of 500 kV power transmission lines from Ksani to Stepantsminda.

The completion of the project is planned for August 2017.

For reference:
